Introduction




Burhani Foundation (India), is a registered trust, established in 1992 to commemorate the 80th birthday of His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (RA) to promote environmental awareness and research. Functioning now, with the raza and dua mubarak of His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin Saheb (TUS), the spiritual head of the international Dawoodi Bohra Community, BFI endeavours to address the environmental problems in India and around the world.

BFI Pilot Project: Environmental Study Tours

A batch of students from Al Madrasa tus Saifiya tul Burhaniyah, Pune, visited Rajmachi on 26th February 2019 for an Environmental Study Tour. Located in the Western Ghats, Rajmachi is a popular destination for nature lovers, trekkers and outdoor campers.

More such trips including various schools will be organized in future.

Turning The Tide Against Plastic Pollution

Commemorating the celebrations of the 108th Birth Anniversary of our founder, the 52nd Dai-al-Mutlaq, His Holiness Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin (RA), and the 75th Birth Anniversary of the 53rd Dai-al-Mutlaq, His Holiness Dr.Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin (TUS), BFI and Project Rise have joined hands with Environmentalist and UN Champion of the Earth, Advocate Afroz Shah, to raise awareness and inspire action against the growing menace of plastic pollution.

 Cleanup at Mithi River in the month of October by done by Students of Al Jamea tus Saifiyah, Surat.

 Single-use plastics wont be allowed within 100 metres of monuments
