BFI Supports - Hamara Station Hamari Shaan



Burhani Foundation (India) adopted and sponsored cleanliness & beautification work at Masjid Bunder and Sandhurst Road Railway stations under the project ‘Hamara Station Hamari Shaan’, which was organized by ‘Making a Difference Foundation’ and ‘Mumbai First’. Under this project 36 Suburban Railway Stations of Mumbai across Western and Central line were beautified by various NGO’s and Firms. The project was initiated on 2nd October, 2016 and the beautification work was completed by 8th October, 2016.

On the 25th October, 2016, Tuesday,Burhani Foundation (India) organized a Felicitation program at Masjid Bunder Railway Station, for the project ‘Hamara Station Hamari Shaan’. The program was attended by dignitaries like MLA Shri Amin Patel, BFI Trustees, Senior Police Inspector Pydhonie Police Station, Station Master, etc. The host organizers of the ‘Hamara Station Hamari Shaan’ initiative, Mr. Shishir Joshi, CEO ‘Mumbai First’ and Mr. Haresh Shah, Founder of ‘Making a Difference Foundation’, were also present and felicitated by BFI in this program. All the students from various institutions who participated in the beautification program and showcased their talents through wonderful paintings were also present and were felicitated by Shri Amin Patel, with a participation certificate from BFI.

Shri Amin Patel and BFI Trustee Shk Abdeali Bhanpurawala also gave message of Cleanliness during this program and interview in media. They spoke about the significance of Masjid Bunder area and this railway station, thousands of small shops and big business being carried out in its vicinity. Trade and transportation was boosted in South Mumbai area due to this station. It is our united responsibility to keep our stations clean and help in achieving the goal of a Clean and Green Mumbai.
